Types of Books

Types Of Books

Designing a book is difficult as you have to take into consideration on what style you may want in terms or the illustrations and font. You also have to contend with what age range you are aiming a book at with the style you will be using.
There is another point to contend with, and this is what style of book you have to choose. You are able to choose from a picture book to an educational book and even choosing a colouring book. This is a critical point to how you communicate the information you will be putting across.

This is a website explaining different types of books you are able to choose from and why you may want to use them.
I found this very useful as they are more types of book that I was able to choose from. Picture books are some of the more popular books with the younger children and colouring book with the little older child.

Types of Children’s Books

Children’s Book Just as there are genres for adult readers, many types of children’s books have appeared over the years. These vary in types of stories, illustrations and interaction with the readers. Following is a descriptive list of these types, as well as the sub-genres within each group. The information provided here is adapted from my studies in my Literature for the Young Child class, taught by Dr. John Cech.
