This part of my research is looking into what happens when a child who you
are reading to does when he/she is looking at the page.
Children's minds are a fragile thing when they are younger and this is a
great example of what is happening in your child's head when you are
reading to them.
The page below shows a book which is designed for both readers to participate
in the reading of a book. One section is for the adult to read, so they are
getting the information into the child which auditory. But there is also a
section for small children to read which is a much larger font and getting them
to do an activity, which in this case is moving around.
I think this is a great way to get the first time readers leaning and
getting valuable time with their parent/parents.
